Atlantic City Power Boat Show

From February 4th to February 8th 2009, the Atlantic City Convention Center will be the hottest place to be if you love boating! The 5 day Atlantic City Power Boat Show promises to be one of the biggest and best boat shows in the North East this winter. More than 750 power boats and luxury yachts of all sizes and models will be on display for viewing. Miss Geico ~ a 40 foot turbine-powered race boat ~ will also be making her debut.

This show isn't all about boats. There are almost 450 exhibitors selling products like boating supplies, fishing gear, magazines, inflatables, cushions, canvas, electronics, GPS & software, clothing & foul weather gear, wetsuits and sunglasses. And if you do happen to succumb to the temptation, there are plenty of finance companies, insurance companies and marinas available to finalize your boating dreams.

Show Hours:

  • Wednesday, February 4 ~ 11am to 8pm
  • Thursday, February 5 ~ 11am to 8pm
  • Friday, February 6 ~ 11am to 8pm
  • Saturday, February 7 ~ 10am to 8pm
  • Sunday, February 8 ~ 10am to 5pm

Ticket Prices:

  • Adults ~ $15.00
  • Adults ~ $25.00 Two day ticket
  • Youth (ages 13-15) ~ $8.00
  • Kids ~ under 12 Free with an adult

Power Boats and Luxury Yachts on Display: Bertram Yachts, Boston Whaler, Carver Yachts, Cherubini Yachts, Cruiser's Yachts, Four Winns, Maxum, Meridian Yachts, Sea Ray, Silverton, Trophy, Viking and many more!

Seminar Highlights: Guest Speakers will be conducting seminars on subjects such as; Better Boat Handling; The Cape May Rips; Weakfishing Secrets; Trophy Bass; New Jersey's Artificial Reefs; Top Water Bass; Blues and Tuna; Offshore Trolling; Obtaining a USCG License; NJ Boaters‘ Test Out Exam and many more.

Parking:

Several public garages and lots are within walking distance and/or shuttle service to the Atlantic City Convention Center ~ $10.00 first 4 hours.

Free boat show shuttle runs back and forth from the AC Convention Center during show days from these casinos and locations; Borgata, Caesar’s and Trump Plaza, Trump Marina Casino, Sandcastle Stadium Lot. Parking fees vary.

Atlantic City Restaurants:

  • White House Sub Shop, 2301 Arctic Avenue, 609-345-1564. Since 1946, the "House of Submarines" has been serving subs to the likes of Sinatra and the Beatles along with the locals of Atlantic City. Lunchtime can be hectic with long lines out the door.
  • Atlantic City Bar and Grill, 1217-1219 Pacific Avenue. 609-348-8080. Attracts late night crowds.
  • Hard Rock Café, 1000 Boardwalk, 609-441-0007. Located inside the Trump Taj Mahal Casino, this restaurant has become an American institution.
  • Dock's Oyster House, 2405 Atlantic Avenue, 609-345-0092. Seafood and steaks since 1897.
  • Irish Pub & Inn, 164 Saint James Place, 609-344-9063. Authentic Irish Pub serving cheap eats and cold beer.

Atlantic City Hotels:

  • Wyndham Skyline Tower, 100 S. North Carolina Avenue, 800-617-8496. Kid-friendly hotel has 296 rooms, suites, wi-fi, indoor pool and fitness center.
  • Borgata Hotel & Casino, 1 Borgata Way, 609-317-1000. With over 2000 rooms, this gold hotel drips with class. Casino, workout center, wi-fi and pool. Restaurants include Bobby Flay Steak and Wolfgang Puck American Grille.

Things To Do In Atlantic City:

  • Stroll along the famous Atlantic City Boardwalk. Take in some of the clam shacks, salt water taffy and souvenir shops.
  • Keep your eyes open for hundreds of feral cats that live under the boardwalk near the Showboat Casino and Taj Mahal. Volunteers feed and care for the cats a few times a day.
  • Ripley's Believe It or Not! Museum ~ New York Avenue & The Boardwalk, 609-347-2001. A little tacky, but fun none-the-less.
  • Atlantic City Aquarium ~ 800 N New Hampshire Avenue, 609-348-2880.
  • Absecon Lighthouse ~ Rhode Island Avenue, 609-449-1360.
  • Casinos, Casinos, Casinos! ~ Harrah's, Caesars, Trump Taj Mahal, Showboat, Tropicana, Borgata and many more!
